Sony and a Sunset

RSX Studios - Rudy Ximenez Photography provides services for a variety of disciplines for several different clients.  I sometimes need to shoot just for myself just to relax my creative process and enjoy making images to my own liking.  Because I enjoy walking and smelling the flowers or watching the birds fly across the sky, and usually have my camera with me, it's a perfect opportunity for landscape and scenic image making.

I could tell from the clouds moving in that weather was about to change after another long drought in Central Texas.  Thirty-five days without rain and warmer than normal temperatures. On my walk though Lake Georgetown,  the sunset was about to come alive for me and my Sony A7RII with the 16-35 F4 Zeiss lens.  I appreciate the fantastic dynamic range of the jpgs.  Extra-fine is my selection when I don't select RAW.  Processed in Lightroom CC.   Let the magic happen.

Earliest time before colors in sky began to change. ISO 200 f10 1/60 @ 16mm.

Colors begin to come in.  ISO 400 f11 1/250 @16mm

ISO 1000 f8 1/200 @ 16mm.

ISO 1600 f9 1/100 @16mm.

Last image of the evening, ISO 1600 f10 1/100 @ 33mm .
In Lightroom I do quite a bit of painting with the brushes, "Dodge n Burn" .  Some colors need a little bit of help to get that look I love and expect.  The jpeg files are easy to work with while I find the RAW files really need EXTRA processing to get the look I want from the file.
